EXTERNAL PROBE - Instruments used for non-destructive measurement of coating thickness of magnetic and non-magnetic metallic bases. With an operating principle (parasite magnetic inductive) these instruments may detect thickness in insulating coating (e.g. enamel, paint, etc.) not ferromagnetic ones (aluminum, zinc, etc.) used as ferromagnetic coating (e.g. steel, iron, etc.).Furthermore, they can detect insulation thickness (e.g. enamel, paint, etc.) of non ferromagnetic coating (aluminum, zinc, etc.). Ideal for quality control in production lines and in any other industrial sector where coatings control is required (galvanic, automotive, nautical, construction, etc.) Equipment: 1 probe Fe, 1 probe NFe, reference standards set, 1 iron zero setting base. Note: Instruments measure also tungsten carbide coating on stainless steel. Compliant to standards: ISO2178, ISO-2361, DIN, ASTM, BS. Dimensions: 126 x 65 x 27mm Weight 81 g
