1631 is an effective separating and lubricating medium with antistatic properties, chemically neutral. It is solvent-free and is a release agent in injection moulding or extrusion processes of plastics and elastomers. It generates a sliding film for plastic/plastic and plastic/metal type material couplings, e.g. to facilitate the insertion of rubber profiles. Can be used as a mould release agent. Provides excellent lubrication of threads on steel oxygen cylinder closure capsules under pressure, at operating temperatures of up to 60°C and 15 bar.
